FLORALS & FOLIAGE

These are some flower arrangements I have either arranged myself or had commissioned for projects at home. Almost everything in here, is easy to recreate. I try to find the freshest flowers and place them in interesting vessels.

While I really don’t have a green thumb and not in any way an expert in this arena, I have always held a keen interest. If I can manage to arrange flowers, anyone can.

ORCHIDS

QUEENS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Orchids are indigenous to the Philippines, flourishing in tropical weather. Worshipped by the Bagobo people, a favourite variety is Waling-Waling, a type of Vanda, known as the Queen of Philippine flowers.

STELLAR VASES AND JARS

WHEN YOUR JARS ARE THE STARS

Because I don’t have a green thumb, I rely heavily on vases when I attempt floral arranging. I always keep an eye out for beautiful vases.

HOLIDAYS

DOUGLAS FIR, A SURVIVOR

Keeping it green in 30 degree weather is next to impossible and I am always amazed at friends whose trees don’t shed and stay their emerald colour even after Christmas.
