SUPERHERO COLORS

For my son’s birthday dinner, we decided to invite Iron Man to join us. In honour of Iron Man, we decided to create a very simple every day table based on Marvel super hero colours.

TABLEWARE

The giant red lined pasta bowls are from Crate and Barrel, the bamboo-style cutlery is from Manila House, the blue taller glasses are from Manila House and the blue shorter goblets are from Vidro. The serving platters in the middle of the table are from Crate and Barrel, tongs from Unimart.

We did not use a table cloth, but opted to use placemats with matching table napkins I had made from fabric sourced in Telas de Mercato. Since most of our guests were under the age of 5, we decided it would be easier to clean the table without a table cloth.

DECORATIVE ELEMENTS

We decided on very simple decor, opting for bud vases from Rustan’s, I arranged some Peruvian fern from my garden and the flowers are from Market Market.

TABLE VIBES

On Spotify, my son’s favourites at that time Kids by MGMT, PJ Masks Soundtrack and Moana Soundtrack because Iron Man’s Soundtrack, while very cool (AC/DC) wasn’t the most appropriate for children.

All of these items were sourced in the Philippines.
