SOMETHING BLUE, A BRIDAL SHOWER

When one of my closest friends who I have known for over two decades got engaged, I insisted on throwing a dinner her in honour.

TABLEWARE

Plates are vintage, while the scallop polka dot embroidered placemats are by Kassa Karen Santos. The glasses are German crystal from Rustan’s and blue water goblets from Manila house. Cutlery is by Tramontina, and the blue lined glass water jug peering from one of the detail shots is from Daylesford.

The tablecloth is canvas from Shell Canvas, made to measure to the table’s dimensions. The table napkins and matching cocktail napkins were made specially for this dinner and monogrammed by Audrey Pastelero. Audrey was so thoughtful, getting guests’ initials and embroidering each table and cocktail napkin with their initials. She added a laurel in her design as this holds a special significance to the bride-to-be.

DECORATIVE ELEMENTS

We kept the decor simple, the blue floral vases are from Lanai and the eucalyptus and hydrangea flowers were arranged under my supervision in Market Market. Candles from Firma and candlestick holders from Landmark. The sterling silver and gold pineapple place card holders are from Ercuis.

TABLE VIBES

We sprayed Herve Gambs Terre d’Epices room spray before guests arrived which mixed well with the fresh eucalyptus. We played songs from the 2000s as I have known some of the girls at the dinner for a long time. On Spotify Soul Sister by Train and a lot of Spice Girls.

With the exception of Daylesford jug, Herve Gambs room spray and Ercuis place card holders, all of these can be sourced in the Philippines.
