NAUTICAL NEUTRALS

For this table, I imagined being at the beach, white sand, seashells with clear blue skies. What I wanted to evoke is that childhood feeling of finding treasures washed up on the sand.

The table cloth is made of canvas from Divisoria, and is fantastic because when anything spills, I can bleach away the stain. The monogrammed table napkins were a present.

Table Thoughts
Have some reasonably priced white canvas tablecloths made. Firstly their colour make it a great backdrop to layer any scheme on. Secondly, at around PHP60 a yard, if guests spill wine, you are without worry because they are usually bleachable and quite sturdy.

TABLEWARE

For the table ware, the blue and white plates are vintage, the cutlery is from Tramontina, the blue glasses are from Manila House and clear ones are from Schott Zwiesel.

DECORATIVE ELEMENTS

The decorative elements the cowrie shell and natural fibre charger is from CITEM. The shells and the small fishbowls we used as vases are all from Landmark, while the air plants are from Market Market. I absolutely loved the air plants as they look like a hybrid between a sea urchin, jellyfish and coral, completing the nautical atmosphere.

The corrugated glass and silver hurricane candle holders are from Restoration Furniture and large white pillar candles are from Pottery Barn. We printed some place cards as well as menus to personalise the event.

TABLE VIBES

As an added touch, I used two Tocca Montauk candles from LCP before guests arrived that created a salty beach scent, I moved the candles to the powder room and hallway when guests started to arrive. On Spotify, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, Blue by Eklo and Country Road by Toots and The Maytals, Three Little Birds by Bob Marley.

All of these items were sourced in the Philippines.
